WWGS FISHING

FISHING GALVESTON TX

Fishing the Galveston Bay complex can be outstanding at many given places at many different times. Sometimes deep, sometimes shallow, sometimes on mud, and sometimes on sand or grass. Finding them is the key. At Wild West Guide Service we go where we have to. Fishing from the jetties to San Luis Pass is our normal range. With West Galveston Bay being our backyard (literally). Living and fishing on West Bay for over 40 years has given me many lessons on when and where to fish. Wading flats, fishing shell reefs, drifting, or fishing channels and passes can all be effective. Speckled trout, redfish, flounder, drum, sheepshead, and others are abundant in the area at many times. In warmer months sharks, kingfish, Spanish mackerel, and ling can also be found in large numbers in nearshore waters of the area. I love them all! Even the bruiser Jack crevelle are a blast. Whatever the fish sought, I like. Whether using artificial or live bait, we will find the fish.
